Using Registered Post by Kenya Posta Global

I send canvasses in a 6" roll by Registered Post from Kenya, USING Kenya Post Global.

I only send frames abroad if they are small.

For small frames I will use plywood for both sides alongside bubblewrap.

I do not send glass.

I can take payment as a Bank Transfer to UK or PayPal
PACKING PROCEDURE
PACKING PROCEDURE

First I remove the canvasses from their stretcher frames.

I then place tissue paper and carefully roll and secure with paper.

Then I wrap in a protective padded sheet followed by a layer of cellophane wrap.

This package is then slipped into a 6" strong roll.

The ends are secured with plywood and 'Fragile' tape.

The address is printed and placed on the roll, covered with clear sellotape.

The roll is ready for shipping with Posta Global Kenya.

A tracking number is given and is trackable immediately on their web site

I Whatsapp photos of every stage of packing and of the shipping details.

For smaller paintings with frames I use tissue, padded foam and then padded foam wrap.
- The package is then sandwiched between two sheets of plywood,before a final cellophane wrap and brown paper.

Packages are sent from my local Post Office via Kenya Airways to Heathrow where they are handed over to the Royal Mail for delivery.

Framed Hand Prints
I can send framed hand prints by registered post without glass.
A single signed hand print, gilded mount, frame and backing board with no glass, bubble wrap and a 3mm plywood board on the front weighs 1kg.
Registered post from Kenya to the United States costs approx 4800 ksh for 1kg ($37)
Please note prices may vary with exchange rate etc.
Kenya Post Global provides a tracking number immediately at the Post Office, it leaves on the Kenya Airways international flights and once it lands in your destination country it is handed onto the National postal service for delivery.
