Kenya has over 40 Ethnic tribes, each contributing to the country's diverse and rich culture and heritage. Each tribe has it's own dress; from decorative floral kangas and brightly coloured checked and striped fabrics of the Masai, Rendille and Samburu to the elegance of the Gabbra and the simple silhouettes of the Muslim cultural dress of Lamu.
Adornment and accessories are also important and includes elaborate head and body jewellery of beads, coins, silver, flowers and feathers, weapons and leather. Amy's figurative and portrait paintings range from miniature paintings and sketches to large scale oil paintings- capturing her meetings with people throughout the country.
